Kids....

2 year olds are inanely repetitive..."Mom...mom...mom...moomm...moommm... Mommmy!....MOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!"

5 year olds live in their own little world where their way is always the right way and they still expect you do everything.

Case in point.

"Hey buddy, let's go make some cookies."

"Yeah! Okay!"

"Mom, wait for me, I have to poop." Starts to dance around and heads for the toy room.
"What are you doing? I thought you had to use the bathroom?" More dancing, searching....
"I'm getting some cars to play with in the bathroom!" Racing down the hall..."Gotta go! Gotta go!". Cars falling out of his hands.

Pondering on my part on how exactly he's going to play with cars while sitting on the toilet. Hear a voice from behind closed doors..."Mom! I'm almost done! Wait for me!"
"Okay."
"Mom?"
"Yes, dear?"
"You're waiting for me right?"
"Yes, hon."
"Mom?"

I'm changing my name...

"What??!"
"I'm almost done!"
"Okay..I'll be in the kitchen waiting for you."

Time elapses...

"Mom...."
"WHAT????!!"
"I'm done!"
"Okay?! What do you want me to do about it?"

"I dropped my car in the toilet!"...

Okay, I think I can finally do this! Thanks.

I REALLY LOVE the "tile"!! I can't wait to see it when we finally coordinate schedules - which would still be a problem even when you lived 10 minutes from us! ;0)

I have truly enjoyed reading about your thoughts...Rebe

Very funny post. I was going to say that I can relate...but since I have no children it would be odd for me to relate, yes?

Great blog. Thanks for pausing to comment at mine because it gave me the oppourtunity to "discover" you.
